Dates of service: construction started in 1931 (Montecuccoli) and in 1933 (Attendolo), launched in 1934, first commissioned in 1935, uncommissioned in 1964 (Montecuccoli) and in 1946 (Attendolo, which was lost in 1942). Montecuccoli was used, starting from 1949, as school-ship and, in 1953-54, was completely modernized.
